Onboarding and offboarding for small businesses

When someone leaves, get everything back.

Handover keeps a list of every account, shared password, laptop and key each person has. When they join, it builds their setup list. When they leave, it builds the list to take it all back, sends each step to the right person, and keeps a dated record.

Free for up to 3 people. No card needed. Flat price after that, not per person.

Tap the steps. In Handover, each one goes to the person who handles it and is logged with their name and the time.

“Did anyone change the Instagram password after Jess left?”

Most small businesses can’t answer that. Surveys sponsored by password and identity companies keep finding that many people say an old work login still worked after they left. Not because anyone was careless, but because nobody had the full list.

How it works

  1. List what you hand out

Tick from common apps, shared logins, devices and keys, and choose who looks after each one.

  2. Record who has what

Add your team and tick what each person has. New hires get theirs from their role automatically.

  3. Start a checklist

Click “Offboard”. Handover writes a step for everything they hold and sends each to the right person, with reminders.

  4. Keep the record

Every step is logged with a name and time. Download a signed PDF for their file, an audit or an insurance claim.

A record you can hand to anyone

When an insurer, auditor, lawyer or new owner asks “how do you make sure former staff lose access?”, you can show them. Every checklist becomes a PDF with each step, who did it, when, and a sign-off line. Export who-has-what as a spreadsheet any time.

  • A PDF record for every person who left
  • Alerts when someone who left still has something on record

Questions

Does Handover log into our apps and remove people automatically?

Not yet. Handover is the checklist and the record: it knows what each person has, sends each step to whoever handles it, reminds them, and logs who did it and when. Someone still clicks “remove” in each app. That also means it works with every app, key and password, not just the ones with an integration.

Do you store our passwords?

No. Handover records that someone knows the Wi-Fi password or the alarm code, and when it was last changed. Keep the passwords themselves in a password manager.

How is this different from the checklist in our payroll app?

Payroll checklists usually have one line like “remove app access”. Handover knows which apps, logins, devices and keys this particular person has, and makes a step for each one.

Who is it for?

Small businesses from about 3 to 150 people, without an IT department: offices, shops, restaurants, clinics, agencies and remote teams.

What does it cost?

Free for up to 3 people. Team is $29 a month for up to 50 people, and Business is $59 a month for up to 150. One flat price, not per person.
